At Low Tide

At the last pages
Of my book
I sit aside
Watching life
At forty-five
Degree angle
Bit bitter
For meaning
Where once
There was feeling
With waves
Churning dreams
And sand muting
My footsteps
With softness

Aleks was born in Poland in the glorious 80's. Her curiosity brought her
to Edinburgh where she currently resides. Aleks begun to write as an
outlet for her emotions, thoughts, and feelings and soon she started to
use her poetry as a tool of internal dialogue. You can read more of her
