|"See Me" by Dawn DeBraal - 45 Poems of Protest
See me, when you vote on a bill that will change my life.
When you pass another tax hike or cut aid with your knife.
See me, not the pharma company,
Who funded your campaign so handsomely,
See me, as I see you through reflection
I will take you down. When I vote the next election
See me. I am your worst enemy,
I’m motivated now from my apathy.
Dawn DeBraal lives in Wisconsin with her husband Red, two rat terriers
and a cat. Recently retired she has the discovered her love of telling a
good story can be written.
