Lockdown Day 8 Down Margaritaville Way

Let there now be tequila and weed in the buttery hour after trying to kick
bug-butt, hunched over my laptop, punching poetry on my keyboard as
if to further inoculate against so-designated Covid-19, while Edgar Allen,
pet raven, totem corvid of this afternoon, covets the pistachios in my
cupboard, settling for tortilla chips with permission to binge-eat while I
belch a couple more lines toward a rare rant, the good therapy of a
metaphoric shitpissbuckdamhell, cloaking as prose, posing quasi-
Proustianesque in the casting of a spell incognito—Nevermore, o,

before it releases me to take up the blisses of an acoustic guitar (which,
so intrigues the bird with its shiny steel strings, he sings along in croaky
duet) as evening comes in peace along the Caloosahatchee River
carrying the melody toward the dark of moon.

Sip. Toke. Turn the flu

tune into Florida-da,

Buffett-haibun played.
