Life

by Elia Viviani
(Montreal, Quebec, Canada)

Life matters and we act to survive
Daily, we fear we may die.
We stay away from people and places
And hold on to what is essential.
But is it worth it?
We can not dream today,
Nor are we free.
We can only wait for a solution
An end to isolation,
To go on with our lives
But the question remains,
What is life?
