The Devil is a Place

by Success Akpojotor

Dear Devil, meanwhile, you’re not at hand for
me to ask you, Devil, face to face, I’m parceling
you this missive & these are all my wonderings:

My godfather—Padre Puzo—told me that the Devil
is an evil personality who was a nonconformist against
the instigator of the big bang. Are you?

Mesdames
Carol, Hillary, Rita, Irene, Sandra, & Trump—
my godmothers—sang that the Devil is a sadistic buffalo
with antlers, like a roaring lion, prowling and preying. Zit true?

Messrs
James, Emmanuel, Samael, Uriel, & Simon opined that
the Devil is a place—D. Evil—District of Evil which is some
where in the nether world. You the president of that nation?

Dear Devil, but she told me that the Devil is that treacherous
voice in our heads, that voice that tells us to dare to be who
we truly and really are. Any iota of truth in that?
