Biography
William Robert Carey has won awards for writing and directing commercials.
He wrote and directed the film, "Jesus In Cowboy Boots,” inspired by his novel.
His memoir, "How NOT To Make A Movie: An Independent Filmmaker In Hollywood Hell" was published by McFarland Books,
and his short story, PEGEEN'S PUNISHMENT, by "Cerasus Magazine." His play, DANIEL/DANIELLE, won the Scribe Play Competition Award
and has been excerpted in 4 publications, including Smith & Kraus’ “WE/US Monologues for THE GENDER MINORITY.”
He also wrote IDOL MINDS (produced by Stages/OC),
FAIRY TALE (Sundog Theatre/NY), and SHE CAME BACK (T. Schreiber Studio/NY).
