Retirement has freed up time
from years when it was precious
Days were not long enough
for delights and adventure
Exhaustion sleep was necessary
now it is an inconvenience
as my body has worn down
and I cannot fight aging
I can write about the ages of time
memories allow for this topic
Wrinkled hands and lost muscle mass
changed who I have become
High School courses failed this subject
bypassed as not required studies
If in senior citizen university classes
I would now garner straight A's
We need to impart this knowledge
to the young of higher learning
They need to be well prepared
to lower shock effects of their future
