Biography
Barbara Anna Gaiardoni is an Italian pedagogist and author writing from Italy.
Her Japanese-style poetry has been published in 280 magazines and translated into 12 languages.
She is a winner of the 7th Basho International English Haiku Competition, a two-time Touchstone Award nominee (2023, 2024),
and was recently selected among the European Top 100 most creative haiku authors in 2025.
Her work has been featured in The Mainichi's "Best of" lists and received an Honorable Mention
at the Fujisan Tanka Contest 2024 and 2025. She also authored three origami micro-chapbooks.
