A Calgary-based record label CEO named Cory Giordano is a possible threat to the local art scenes and community members in the city of Calgary.
The CEO of Inner Ocean Records claims on the label's website that it's goal is to "build trust, honesty, and integrity in everything we do."
That's a strange claim for a person who has yet to resolve his involvement in a conspiracy to harm the career of poet, publisher, organizer, and former Calgaryian, Kirk Ramdath (the poet who opened Calgary's Peace Bridge). The most important aspect of this conspiracy is not how Kirk Ramdath was harmed, but how several young women who trusted Cory Giordano were harmed.
This is a conspiracy that grew to infect hundreds of people across several artistic communities, including the visual art and poetry world. Although hundreds of people were victims of these lies, they all kept this harmful gossip secret from Kirk Ramdath, allowing terrible lies to circulate for years. When Kirk Ramdath did finally get concrete knowledge, it was easy to figure out after that. It involved a group of people who were his former friends.
Of those former friends, only one person had motive, means, and opportunity. Cory Giordano. Cory Giordano AKA Charlie Dreaming AKA Cory Zaradur.
What exactly were his means and opportunity? The very fact that he was considered as a leader in the ambient music community in Calgary. This allowed him to influence people in his community, and in particular, to manipulate several young women who trusted him, into participating in a conspiracy to harm Kirk Ramdath, a person whose reputation he became obsessed with destroying.
Cory Giordano sent these women on "missions" to "investigate" Kirk Ramdath. They approached Kirk Ramdath to spend time with him as friends, in the context of collaborating on poetry and art projects. Kirk Ramdath spent time alone with these women, as friends, and had deep, probing conversations about life and love. They created poetry together and collaborated to make a sculpture comprising the word 'poetry' and a heart, hand-sewed onto an old wedding dress. It seemed like friendship but only person was being a true friend, Kirk Ramdath.
During this time that Kirk Ramdath's reputation was being questioned behind his back, Cory Giordano also took advantage of Kirk Ramdath. Kirk Ramdath invited Cory Giordano to publish a music set in his online magazine called Eleventh Transmission, an offer that was accepted. As well, Cory Giordano had an equipment failure at one of his events that was out of town. He called Kirk Ramdath for help and Kirk Ramdath packed up his personal musical equipment and immediately drove out of town to help his friend have a successful event. This was a favour that had a commercial value of thousands of dollars. Kirk Ramdath did it out of the goodness of his heart and his desire to support his friend and the local arts community. Cory Giordano got paid for that event and he did not offer any payment to Kirk Ramdath, not even to cover gas money.
After being used so terribly eventually got old, Kirk Ramdath stopped his association with these people, thinking that was that, and finally desiring a better quality of associate. Shockingly, this was when things escalated – after Kirk Ramdath was no longer involved with this group of people.
After already manipulating the young women who admired him, Cory Giordano needed them to do more. He manipulated them into saying that during the times that they were having conversations and making poetry and art with Kirk Ramdath, Kirk Ramdath was actually stalking them. This is how Cory Giordano abused the young women who trusted and admired him by involving them in actual criminal slander.
Over the next four years, this group of people said increasingly slanderous things, but nothing directly to Kirk Ramdath. The growing number of hostile faces from peers in the poetry and visual art communities that Kirk Ramdath devoted his life to supporting revealed that something very bad was happening.
It was only when one of the young women in Cory Giordano's sphere attempted to instigate a violent encounter with Kirk Ramdath at a local bar, after four years of zero communication with Kirk Ramdath, that Kirk Ramdath became aware of the intensity of what was going on and exactly who was involved. Something terrible was happening, and it involved Kirk Ramdath, but it was happening to this woman. The people who were doing it were her friends. These people used Kirk Ramdath's name for evil purposes for four years to harm this woman. That's not allowed. It violates every human law and special ones regarding this situation. If any connected person has a mitigating factor, contact Kirk Ramdath immediately.
This situation infected hundreds of people with harmful lies and caused permanent harm especially to several young women who spent their entire youth (5+ years, 2008-2012) involved in a campaign of hatred against a person who was their friend, because they were manipulated by a man they trusted who took advantage of them, including sexual advantage.
That man is Cory Giordano. Still, doesn't it all sound crazy and unbelievable? There's no way this could all be true. There's no way a man would involve his friends, especially women, in such a dark and dangerous situation. That's what Kirk Ramdath thought, but you still need to cross it off the list. So he asked his old friend Cory Giordano, who still owed a spiritual debt from the time that Cory Giordano called Kirk Ramdath to rescue his event. In particular, Kirk Ramdath asked Cory Giordano to say whether or not he involved the women who trusted him in a dishonourable situation.
Any good person, and any community leader, would give a serious response to such a serious inquiry, especially considering how much harm was caused. As well, any man who respects women would be able to truthfully say that he did not involve women who trusted him in a harmful situation. Instead, Cory Giordano fled into the night. He chose not to account for a situation that infected hundreds of people with lies, harmed Kirk Ramdath, and permanently harmed several young women that Cory Giordano took advantage of.
Cory Giordano needs to resolve his involvement in this conspiracy first, before he proclaims to the world that he has any association with the words, "trust, honesty, and integrity." Those are not words that can be used to describe Cory Giordano, any of his activities, or anyone who willingly chooses to associate with him.
The names of the women involved are withheld to prevent causing them additional trauma.
Note: Kirk Ramdath is the publisher of Poetry and Art News. He encourages everyone to not take his word for it, but to do their own due diligence with Cory Giordano about this unresolved situation before collaborating in any way with any of Cory Giordano's activities. Kirk Ramdath also wants to be explicitly clear that every day, week, year, and decade, he names Cory Giordano and all of Cory Giordano's associates who knew Kirk Ramdath as people who are honour-bound to defend Kirk Ramdath's life and reputation from every kind of harm, on the basis of the friendship they all shared. So they must account not just for the harm they have caused, but their failure to prevent the harm as well. Until then, the basic humanity of Cory Giordano and his associates must be questioned and they all must be considered as dangerous people.
