Young Poets Contest #1 – First Place
by Adjah Charis Selase
Anxiety, Tension fills the room. Hands Vigorously moving, Writing creativity. Mine— Stagnant, like the breeding place of mosquitoes. My mind refuses to flow. Every grain of sand in the hourglass Increases my fear of failure. What should I write? The thought creeps in without warning. Pens down! If only I had powers, I would stop time. Fear of failure envelops me. Perhaps the hourglass Should be renamed The tension glass.
