by Diya Cleetus
In the dark cloudy evening, Rain falling wild from the sky, You and me laughing together, Like the world was finally alive. Will it ever happen again? Will I ever see you again? You were someone so precious, A feeling I still can’t explain. You were the light in my darkness, The calm inside my storm, Like a song I kept repeating Just to feel a little warm. Your voice still lives in my heart, Like an echo that never fades, You were the dream I held onto Even when memories changed. Sometimes when it rains at night, I still think about those days, About your smile, your laughter, And all the words we never say. Will fate bring us back together? Or leave us lost in the past? I don’t know where you are now, But some feelings are made to last. And now whenever rain starts falling, I stand alone beneath the sky, Hoping somehow you still remember The nights we never wanted goodbye.
