Go on tell me, just what is a life
Was it those holidays in the sun
Is it all about living, or achieving
Was it more knowing or believing
When it's time, what can I claim
Was it years of discretion or fame
Introspection may just have won
Go on tell me, just what is a life
What is a life, tell me the reasons
Why all the years have coalesced
Into this single amorphous blob
With so few memories left to rob
Done is done, and no going back
No breadcrumb trail on the track
So finally, is now the time to rest
What is a life, tell me the reasons
