Eos

by Taggi Farmani

With a face unmatched in the world
She stood as a god in disguise
Her golden hair veiled by lilies
A blue nebula in her eyes

Helpless, vulnerable, and frail
I called to her, mesmerized
For silence to a lover is vile
A slow decay, a naked demise

Of my silent dream for tomorrow
Stories and tales and lullabies
Of a world of passion, I spoke
Long restrained, and agonized

On her chest, the roses bloomed
As I revealed my flame, and sighs
She blew but a kiss and flew away
A farewell, I shall never realize
