All that is, all that was, is no more.
Like a candle that burnt its use.
Like summer days etched with memories.
The smell and taste of unbridled curiosity.
Cascading with every jubilant thrust of ambition.
Daring immortality by chasing that danger.
Looking but not seeing compensates the wisdom.
Confidence of bravado masks that hidden flaw.
Unbreakable, it feels forever, never stopping.
The everlasting pureness fades with every sunset.
Peeling away at that outer layer of invincibility.
Nothing stands still in the constant motion of life.
Yesterday and the day before that are the stories.
Today tomorrow and the next await their entrance.
The world spins in anticipation of great presumption.
Grand illusions cover the language and blind the eyes.
Leading to where the now begins and the story plays.
Goodbye yesterday, hello today, maybe tomorrow.
