What If

by Riya Ghode

What if you try something new
But they say, This isn't for you?
What if you were always strong
But they tried to prove you wrong?
What if their words feel sharp as knives,
Cutting deep through all your tries?
What if they laugh and turn away
Filling your mind with doubt all day?
They will come, they will say
But how long will they stay?

What if courage comes your way,
Making every pain go away?
What if each fall makes you strong
Helping you rise and prove them wrong?
What if the voices fade, shadows go?
Only the strong will truly grow.
What if the only voice you hear
Is the one inside, loud and clear?
So stand up tall, ready to fight
Your dreams are yours, claim your right.
