SWAV (Spoken Word, Audio, and Video) Poetry

SWAV Poetry is an international network of poetry magazines for spoken word, audio, and video poetry, and the home of the SWAV Poetry World Cup. SWAV Poetry is designed to extract excellent spoken word, audio, and video poetry from from everywhere on Earth.

SWAV Poetry is part of waxpoetryart.com – the website for people who love poetry, art, photography, fiction, and plays.

Submissions are now open for the debut issue, to be published on January 15th, 2026. SWAV Poetry calls all spoken word, audio, and video poets to submit. Every poem published in SWAV Poetry qualifies for the SWAV (Spoken Word, Audio, and Video) Poetry World Cup.

New issues are published on January 15th, May 15th, and September 15th of every year.

SWAV Poetry is published in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada by Florencia Bay Books. Edited and designed by Kirk Ramdath. Nanaimo is located on the traditional and unceded territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation of the Coast Salish Peoples.
