Obstinacy

by Sakshi Bahirat

tiny fingers
wrapped around
plump by the force
mother wailing
to loosen the grip

something flew around
hitting the ears
that failed to hear it coming
laughter echoed
misty eyes covered a sly look

ripped cloth
right around the knees
the people outside
the jury
to be never seen

black spots
some red
tore the veil
bolting away
oh what a life waiting to be lived!
