Cycle of Love

by Kylie Makutu

To love, we love love, lose love, **** love,
Scarred heart,
Scared to love.
Now we love with tainted love.
If only we were taught about self love,
saving us from seeking another's love,
when it turns out they only know how to love
with tainted love.
Ensuring just one thing,
the destruction of our love.
If only we learned how to heal the scars on our hearts,
given to us from our last encounter with love.
Because wouldn't it be a beautiful freedom
to love regardless of our past tainted love.

Biography of the Poet
