Sophia Clarkson's Artist Page

Biography
Sophia Clarkson: I enjoy writing poetry because it allows me to channel my feelings and emotions healthily and reflectively. Art, for me, is a physical expression of those same emotions, giving them form and allowing audiences a look into how I view society. I tend to work independently, experimenting with different techniques and styles to explore ideas freely without anyone limiting my ideas or expression. I’m particularly drawn to themes of society, feminism, and identity, using my creative work as a way to question norms, highlight topical issues, and provoke thought. Creativity is both an outlet and a way to understand the world around me.
