by Samuel Mendoza
I feel nothing. I told myself while resting on my own chest, searching for her in someone who is not her. And I felt nothing. I feel nothing. It sounds shameless, so raw to say it out loud, but it is my heart that keeps looking for her. I feel nothing. Since the day I stopped seeing the light in her eyes, mine never shone again. I searched for her in other scents, other landscapes, and I felt nothing. I have felt nothing since that day. You left and took my nervous system with you. Because after you, there was no love anymore, only biology.
