What is grief?
The absence of life
or the absence of light.
The absence of her,
my Mumma.
Thats what grief is to me.
The woman who healed
me and made me whole
when i was broken.
The woman who believed
in me.
Believed that I was
capable of raising four children.
that aren't my own.
Whom I've taken on.
Who also lost their mother
to that bitch cancer.
My Mumma made me whole.
She lived inside my heart.
And forever, I hope she will stay alive there.
