Faded Writing

by Ed Woods

Millions of storytellers
playwrights and poets
philosophers and citizens
place words in good order
upon pages for all citizens

Inspiration and education
to feel the human soul
and verify why we exist
Not to just live a life
but with purpose and drive

This will all become futile
for the future has a promise
well in advance for we the warned

Create or read all you can
in libraries and halls of learning
because of galaxy timelines
Five billion years from now
our sun will be exhausted
and fade into the void of Space

Another universe will take over
and never know our gifted writers
