Tides

by Stephen G. Lloyd

Dark
The day.

The sky
Bereft.

An ocean full
Of storm.

No kindle left
To dissipate

The bruise.

Down, down.
A spiral

Down.

My lack
Of sleep

A reave.

I have become

Some
Stagecraft

Urging clowns.
