Shakespeare's Pen: Europe Contest – First Place

The Sensation is Greedy

by Ana-Mariya Boykova Simeonova

The sensation is greedy towards me –
It leads me down a bright path
with eight shades of yellow.
White is unseen –
it's hidden behind the frame of an old tapestry.
The sensation is in a dark frame,
I seek an explanation, a meaning.
It is white.
The feeling is summer-like, it has a flame,
but remains sealed hermetically,
for there is mysticism.
There, always,
women will harvest wheat
and they will look down,
bent toward the earth...
