All I Need Is My Soul

I sometimes lose control!
I can not put out a fire,
a flame that burns
as deeply as my desire.

All I need is my soul!
For the only thing I live for,
to ignite the pages.
Drawn along my skin,
braided in stages
as shapes and phrases.

Set it alight! 
Watching it spread 
like a wild fire,
feeding hungry spirits
in search of a way out,
anywhere but here.

Tension, compression, 
suffocating me. 
Let me out!
I can't breathe.
My glass is full,
overflowing with golden tears.

Washing away the words 
I have yet to say, to share.
I don't want to be famous 
but to make you feel that way.
To be seen is not the key 
to a reality worth being,
who I am meant to be!

All I need is my soul!
And that is all I will be.
I am not lost,
but found in the gaps of my only art.
In my mind, my imagination running wild.
I will write and write because, 
I am a poet who feels so deeply. 

It's invisible! Love, hope, and faith
but it's real.
I feel, it burns in my soul
and that is what I do. 
I bring it all to life.
