Under 25 Poetry Canada Contest #1 – First Place

The Seed

by Le Stylo

A seed is dropped down to grow,
The little seed cracks below.
A tiny sprout shoots above,
And peeks through the ground's glove.
A shoot, a leaf, a stem appears,
It grows tall and straight like a spear.
The stem grows long,
The leaves get strong.
A plant now is present,
A green shrub thrives incessant.
Autumn passes cool and short,
The seeds of the plant of that sort.
Fall down to the earth where the one before came,
Covered up by the rocks, the dirt and the rain.
Soon it will spout and become a great plant,
And rise with the others all around the land.
