You were such a ray of sunshine, Spreading through the dawn sky, Upon the horizon, filled with resplendence And chirping of birds – euphony and brilliance. Unconditionally being a smile on the face – Undoubtedly, an aid of our race. At the age of three, with your guide, Wrote my first words – the beginning of this ride. Every single morning, gripping your hand, Walked to school, with giggles and demand. Unconditionally being a smile on the face – Undoubtedly, an aid to our race. That one ray, helping the lives – The birds, the plants – even the family of five. Hoary and old might it had been, But full of glorious and young keen. Humble and hearted – with no words of wage – Embracing that one bird – which flies of its cage. Every single evening, walking me to the park, You were the reason of my joyful spark. Caring and helping our family of five, Hearting the ripe, naïve soul of mine With the words you said of glory And the stories of your past – gloomy. With the heart of yours – golden Just like the delicate ray falling on the foliage. You provoked my inner bud to face the gruesome – To mature into a liberal art of a blossom. But soon, the granddaughter got bored of your old brow, Something her heart wholly regrets right now. You were such a ray of sunshine – Setting below the horizon of the evening sky, And birds returning to their green shelters. But when the next day, a bird wanders and lingers, Searching for that one old and golden ray, Which is lost and never arose ever again.
