The field stretches out, and I run until my legs throb. The ball rolls fast, and my focus locks in. I think of my dad, how he pulled us to the TV whenever Real Madrid played, how his voice shook the room when a goal was scored, how he passed this game to me without saying a word. When I play, it's not just me out here. Every memory stretches out and brings me to the field.
