Where you see faults in the crooked stone walls, I see art in the imperfection of how the water falls Where you see cracks on the wood of the tree, I see the home of little squirrels running wild and free Where you see the dry branches, displeasing to the eye I see the flourishing red blossom touching the sky When you find shade in the scorching sun and heat, I run on the sand and make castles with my feet When you try to find shelter in the pouring rain, I smile and look around at the lush green terrain When you curse the freezing snow, and shy away from the cold I feel magic in the wind that blows, the Christmas streets red and gold It's all based on how one perceives You look at the darkness within the night But that's not what I believe I see the beauty in the the stars shining so bright You see with your eyes I see with my soul That's how you lie And I become whole
