My Quiet Room

by Mykenna Forward

My room is a quiet space,
It is my own private, peaceful place.

My room is a quiet escape,
Far from cries, where silence lies.

My room is a quiet corner,
Where grief drifts and never lifts.

My room is a quiet cell,
One where I can sit and dwell.

In this quiet,
I lie, alone with only memories.
