They’ve cut the power –
again.
In the thick of night,
they've stolen our light.
The furnace blazes.
We boil in silence.
Our lips tremble,
our limbs twitch
like wounded animals.
They've smeared our vision.
We grope through the dark.
Still, we'll fight for light –
for the promise of brightness.
