Biography
Makara Aikens: I am an English, History, and Art Education Student at Mount Saint Vincent University and a graduate of Saint Francis Xavier University with a degree in European History and Celtic Studies. I spent my years in undergrad learning about Scottish history, the Manx, the Irish, the Welsh, and everything in between. I learned the basics of Scottish Gael alongside a number of other students who spoke it fluently. As time progressed, the call to my roots only increased. I am an artist and creator at heart. I have been published twice in Wandering Autumn Magazine for my photography and modelled the cover of the WOMEN'S Issue in 2020.
Makara resides in Stellarton, Nova Scotia, Canada.
