Old lovers
Dead beside me
I still carry them around
Sometimes I wonder
Do they still carry me?
There would be symmetry in that
Reciprocal revenge for failure to endure.
Come sit beside me
Let me hear your lies
Are they as good as mine
As well contrived?
Or will we neither be deceived
And know there is no fault
And so, to part at last.
