Shakespeare's Pen 2025/2026 – Winner for EUROPE

Tonight

by Ana-Mariya Boykova

Tonight I will return 
quietly into myself.
I will lock the front door
of my soul.
I will kindle the fire,
so there is warmth.
From a spark-light,
that will be enough.
I will arrange the chaos
with the help of rhymes.
I will tame the words,
let, poor them, rest.
The vanity of the day,
I will take off from me
and I will replace it
with faith and humility. 
Then I will fall asleep 
with my dreams.
And you—I will let you go,
I know, at dawn.
