Artist Statement
I have driven extensively in Canada and the United States. Driving has allowed me to see breathtaking scenery, which has influenced my love for landscape painting. I love using texture in my paintings, and I do this by initially creating a textured surface to paint on, and then by only using a palette knife to paint with. Painting over a textured surface creates an interplay with what's underneath the landscape painting and the landscape itself.
