Nunavut Poetry Contest #1 – First Place
by Faran Greenley
Snow drifts like whispered secrets, Filling the streets and quiet corner. The world slows, like a heartbeat. Every step leaves a mark That will vanish by morning. Breath clouds fill the air. Stars glint like frozen fire, And above, the Northern Lights dance — Ribbons of green, like silk unravelling Across the endless dark. The night holds a stillness, That feels almost like peace.
