Imagine

by David Gretch

What if we never
evolved,
never gave up
satisfaction
with how
things were?
Imagine,
Still
Pristine,
we are not doing
computer, nor
commuter stuff.
No inflation,
Stress headaches,
or addictions to
pain medication.
No unfair taxation.
No animals
lost to extinction.
No need for social revolution.
No wars, bombs,
wrecked cars, or
car bombs.
No traffic lines,
suffocating elevators,
or language barriers.
Still in synch with Nature,
wouldn't it be nice?
