Weekly Poems Contest #24: First Place

Autumn Walk

by Zahir Turaj

Today again, I walk –
along the dusty road,
under the naked trees.

Autumn leaves,
wanderers like me,
driven by the wind
from place to place.

The garden
wears a cloak
of brown and gold.
And my heart aches
for the home I lost.
