Winner: Weekly Poems Contest #30
by Zahir Turaj
Behind the old gray window I see your eyes – two rebellious canaries that do not believe in cages. The alley twists like an old cassette tape, murmuring our love with every turn. At night, moonlight breaks into pieces over your shoulders, and I silently gather the scattered grains of light. Morning comes with the same dusty sun, but our love remains there – an unfinished song behind the gray window.
