Winner: Weekly Poems Contest #36
by Squadron Leader (Dr) Toolika Rani
The gown on my body feels so comforting! Flowing freely, Not obstructing, Seamless it runs from this end to that, One single garment Without any tantalizing frills Or decorating element, It hugs my body loosely As if not to hurt, Not to be too tight Lest I should die But lends me its appearance all the while, The moment I enter inside The place called home It adorns me as if I was born wearing it! My favourite gown – The one made of pure, Unadulterated yarn; They call it, pain, I call it mine.
