Temporary

by Anabelle Su

Passing glances, meeting eyes,
lingering stares – ships sailing.
First hellos, passing words,
surprisingly pleased and deeply moved.

Unknown peace and complete wholeness.
Dismiss the impermanence – drink it in.
Drifting deeper.
How far will it go?

Live now. Feel now. Cherish all.
Clocks winding down, silence becomes acceptance.
Unexpectedly deep into sea –
the end was written from the start.
