Riding the Clouds

by Bojun Maliang

Snowflakes sinking from the drowsy morning sky,
I put on my goggles when I get on the gondola.
Up on the top of the mountain, the doors spread wide,
Like opening a giant freezer compartment.

Grey sky and white snow,
a wonderful powder snow run.
As always, in front of the path,
We must analyze the terrain and map.

Skis are silent on the slope,
A sharp turn making a wave
Of frozen sugar. Cold wind blowing
On my face, my favorite feeling.

I chase my brother,
Leaping off jumps continuously.
The lights on the side of the runs brighten,
It is time to have dinner.
