Biography
Brooke Brownlee: I am a California native who has always turned to the arts as a way to heal
and build community. As a therapist, I use creativity to explore and release emotion, a practice
that has deepened my own writing. My love for writing began at six, when I won a state award for
a short story inspired by a childhood nightmare. After years focused on research and analytics,
I’ve returned to creative expression to reconnect with myself and inspire others toward collective healing.
When I’m not working, I enjoy hiking in the mountains,
cooking for loved ones, creating stained glass, and spending time with my cats.
