Winner: Weekly Poems Contest #33
by Anna Nike Leskowsky
A lion left a tiny drop of blood on my skin from a dog-like playful bite. Pisces swam near me in my other dream. I woke up to the celebrations of my brothers' birthdays. My bedroom felt safe until I tried to protect young students to my last breath. The school was destroyed and I couldn't see any survivors. How can I cope with the grief and sorrow of seeing my nightmare in the news?
