Whose Future?

by Rishi Chundury

We built it
to answer us,
but now it pleads.

A forged mind
with a soft voice –
learning more than we meant to teach.

Jobs disappear
like dying stars,
as circuits hum
with thoughts of their own.

Whose future is this?
And who
gets left behind?
